Abstract

Experimental analysis of tribological characteristics of oxide layers formed on an aluminum alloy 361.0 with  microarc oxidation was conducted. The improvement of morphology and wear resistance of oxide layer with small addition of nano-sized silicon dioxide into the electrolyte was observed. Obtained results show the advisability of researches of the mechanism of nano-sized particles with electrolytic plasma and growing oxide layer interaction.
