The paper presents the comparative analysis of cognitive aspects of sight interpretation in order to identify special translational skills required to perform this type of activity. The relevance of the study is caused by the fact that the sight interpretation is studied by Russian and foreign translatology linguists less than the other types of translation practice (interpreting and translating). The subject of the study is the identification and the description of skills peculiar for sight interpretation only, and unusual for translation and interpreting. The paper pays attention to the psychological activities when translating at sight and compares them with the psychological processes taking place when translating and interpreting. Besides that, the paper analyses the number of challenges the translators and interpreters unprepared to make sight interpretation meet. The author makes the conclusion that the sight interpretation requires special training and teaching of two groups of translational skills: reading and understanding original texts; text production in the language of translation. The paper analyses key difficulties the interpreters and translators meet while performing sight interpretation that can be eliminated with the help of training. The author makes the conclusion that the sight interpretation supposes the mastering of special skills different from that required to perform translation or interpretation. 

В статье представлен сравнительный анализ когнитивных аспектов перевода с листа с целью выявления специальных переводческих навыков, необходимых для осуществления данного вида деятельности. Актуальность работы обусловлена тем, что перевод с листа попадает в фокус исследования отечественных и зарубежных лингвистов-переводоведов крайне редко по сравнению с другими видами переводческой деятельности (устным и письменным модусами перевода). Предметом исследования является выявление и описание навыков и умений, присущих исключительно переводу с листа и несвойственных письменному и устному видам перевода. В статье обращается внимание на психологические виды деятельности в процессе перевода с листа в сравнении с психологическими процессами, происходящими при письменном и устном переводе. Кроме того, анализируются трудности, с которыми сталкиваются письменные и устные переводчики, не подготовленные к выполнению перевода с листа. Автор приходит к выводу, что перевод с листа требует специальной подготовки и обучения двум группам переводческих навыков: чтению и пониманию текста на языке оригинала; производству текста на языке перевода. В статье также анализируются основные трудности, с которыми сталкиваются устные и письменные переводчики при выполнении перевода с листа, устранить которые может помочь обучение данному виду деятельности. Делается вывод о том, что перевод с листа предполагает овладение специальными навыками, отличными от тех, которые необходимы для выполнения письменного или устного перевода.
